Guarantee of Quality

"My guarantee to quality is summed up in the hints listed below.
All potential buyers of leadlight and/or stained glass products should be able to judge good craftsmanship by following these basic tips."

* Soldering Joints must be smooth and slightly rounded with no sharp edges. The soldering joint should be slightly raised above the lead line to ensure full strength.

* All lead lights should be puttied (sealed) on both sides of the panel and there should not be any putty visible.

* There should not be any chipped glass or glass edges showing where the glass meets the lead.

* The composition of the panel must be aesthetically pleasing with a mixture of different textures and well co-ordinated colours.

* The finish of the work should be highly polished - both glass and lead. This is not a way to conceal inferior workmanship but to bring the lead work to a common finish.

* Once installed into a frame, the lead on the border of the leadlight should be visible to ensure a finished look to your panel or mirror . This will also give added strength.

* All leadlight panels, depending on size and location, should have some sort of strengthening system.
